Designing Your Cigar Bands

Long before a cigar is smoked, its presentation begins communicating. At the center of that presentation is the cigar band. A well-designed band identifies the brand, distinguishes the cigar in the humidor, and creates recognition over time. For many customers, it is the first part of the cigar they notice—and often the part they remember. But designing a cigar band is different from designing a logo or a flat label. It is a small piece of packaging that must wrap correctly around a three-dimensional product, remain readable at a relatively small size, and work together with the cigar itself.
