A premium handmade cigar is the result of a long chain of processes that begins well before a cigar maker sits down at the rolling table. Tobacco must first be grown, cured, fermented, aged, selected, and prepared. A blend must be developed. Only then can the leaves be transformed by hand into a finished cigar.
