Understanding Cigar Regulations

Creating a cigar is only one part of bringing it to market. Before cigars can be commercially imported, distributed, and sold, they may need to comply with the tobacco regulations of the country—or sometimes the specific jurisdiction—in which they will be sold. And those requirements can differ significantly from one market to another. There is therefore no single answer to: “What regulations apply to my cigar?” The better question is: “Where do you intend to sell it?”
