Understanding Vitolas

A vitola is the size and shape of a cigar. It is usually defined by two measurements: Length Ring gauge, which measures the cigar's diameter But choosing a vitola is not simply a matter of appearance. The dimensions of a cigar influence how much tobacco it contains, how long it smokes, how it burns, and how the blend itself is experienced. The same blend in two different vitolas will not necessarily smoke or taste exactly the same.
