Once you understand the factory MOQ, the next question is: How many cigars should you actually produce for your first run? These are not the same question. The MOQ tells you the smallest quantity that is practical to manufacture. Your first production quantity should be based on how much inventory the business realistically needs. That means thinking about expected sales, launch timing, stock coverage, lead times, cash flow, and the point at which you will need to reorder.
